ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The Magician
A close friend, a beautiful being and a psychic, Salome, like her name-sake, is very likely the reincarnation of Salome, the daughter of Herodias. With my relationship with her, I discovered the femme-fatale within me. In a period of angst, I had ego-toxicity. I was working on a big project at the verge of a terrible break up. I thought, if I did everything meticulously, I could finish up the project perfectly as it was shaping in my mind. But I let anger and ego take over me and in the end, the project failed from the least expected part of it. My months of effort felt wasted. But I learned, whatever is born from hasty pride burns out like hay. “Show me anger and I will show you ‘Hurt’. Show me hurt and I will show you ‘Love’. “ A quote by Rumi
Altin Tatli (Golden Sweet) is an artist living and creating in Istanbul,Turkey. Altın’s multi-disciplinary practice explores the possibilities of an intergalactical and interdimensional language of art. As a maximalist artist, they use many forms of art to include us in their universe.
